November: Give Yourself Grace
To the reader who is taking the time to read this post, I welcome you with love and light!
First, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule, your busy life, or whatever life may be living today, to spend a little time here with me. I truly appreciate you being here.
Can you believe it? Today marks the beginning of a brand-new month! Hello, November!
Just like that, we have entered another month. A new month brings another opportunity to pause, reflect, reset, and embrace what lies ahead.
Sometimes life moves so fast that we don't even realize how quickly the days are passing us by. Between responsibilities, unexpected changes, challenges, and simply trying to keep up with everyday life, we can forget to slow down and appreciate the moment we're in.
But here we are. November has arrived!
And I don't know about you, but I believe every new month gives us another opportunity to welcome new possibilities, release what no longer serves us, and make room for the things that bring us peace, joy, and growth.
This November, I am giving myself permission to extend grace to myself.
Grace to grieve. Grace to cry. Grace to feel whatever emotions come with this season of my life.
Tomorrow, and throughout the rest of this week and beyond, I won't be turning on my laptop to work from home at a job that I truly loved. It wasn't just a job to me. It was connected to my purpose. It was something I helped birth into existence, something that allowed me to pour into and support justice-impacted individuals, just like myself.
That work meant something to me. It was personal. It was purposeful. It was part of my story, and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to do it.
So, yes, I am allowing myself to grieve this chapter.
I am giving myself grace to cry when I need to cry, to sit with my feelings, and to acknowledge that just because a chapter has ended doesn't mean it didn't matter.
I am also giving myself grace to focus on my healing. Grace to take things one day at a time. Grace to wait, whether I find myself sitting in the dark, standing in the light, or somewhere in between, for the next season and chapter God is leading me toward.
I may not know what that next chapter looks like just yet, but I trust that God knows.
Whatever it is, I am choosing grace.
And maybe that's a reminder someone else needs today, too. You don't have to have everything figured out. You don't have to rush your healing. You don't have to pretend you're okay when you're still processing what life has placed before you.
Give yourself permission to feel. Give yourself permission to rest. Give yourself permission to begin again.
As we step into November, I encourage you to extend that same grace to yourself. Remember that you are still growing, still learning, still healing, and still becoming.
Thank you again for being here and allowing me to share a little piece of my journey with you. My hope is that something shared in this space speaks to your heart, encourages your spirit, or reminds you that you are not alone on this journey we call life.
A little November reminder: Grace is not giving up. Sometimes grace is simply allowing yourself the space to become who God is calling you to be.
Let's Reflect Together: November Journal Prompts
I'd love for you to take a moment to reflect and share with me.
- What is one thing you need to give yourself permission to do this November? Is it to grieve, rest, heal, cry, start over, set boundaries, or simply give yourself grace?
- What chapter of your life are you learning to release, and what are you hoping to welcome, discover, or create as you move into your next season of life?
If this post speaks to you, please share it with someone who may need a little reminder to give themselves grace, too. You never know whose heart your share might reach.
Two Affirmations to Carry into November
- I give myself permission to heal, grow, grieve, and begin again. I am right where I need to be.
- I trust the timing of my journey, embrace the season I'm in, and give myself grace for the road ahead.
Whether your faith is rooted in God, a higher power, the universe, or whatever you believe in, may you find the strength to trust your journey and the courage to embrace what comes next.
Remember: You don't have to have it all figured out. Give yourself grace, one day at a time.
Until next time, continue to walk in love, light, and grace.
With love,
Chosen Princess 🦋
